Puzzled Escape Rooms is an exciting, expanding games company located in Taffs Well, just north of Cardiff. We're on the hunt for part-time Games Host to beef up our casual staff team.

We need enthusiastic, lively, outgoing folks to help ensure our customers have a unforgettable experience. If you enjoy a vibrant work environment and appreciate being recognised for your hard work through excellent pay and working conditions, you might just fit right in. Work hours will initially mostly cover weekends, with potential for some weekday and evening shifts.
Customer Interaction: From the moment our guests step in, your role will be to welcome them warmly and conduct pre-game briefings. You should be a natural 'people person'—confident and engaging in front of groups, including corporate parties. Inject a bit of humor and maintain a welcoming demeanor to kick off their experience on a high note.
Game Operation: Take charge of our bespoke game software, keeping an eye on players to ensure both fun and safety are in check. You'll adapt your clue-giving to the team’s skill level, requiring sharp attention to detail and quick decision-making to help each team finish just in time—aiming for that 59-minute sweet spot is crucial because, let’s face it, no one likes to lose!
Post-Game Engagement: After the game, you'll wrap things up by debriefing the team, capturing fun photos, and encouraging them to spread the word and revisit. This is a chance to make lasting impressions, so make it count!
Room Reset and Maintenance: Resetting the escape room precisely according to the guidelines is essential; a small oversight could impact the next group's experience. Your meticulous nature will ensure perfection.
Flexibility and Teamwork: As part of our team, you'll handle various ad-hoc duties as needed, which may include cleaning, catering, taking team photos, upkeep tasks, and managing social media content.
Competitive Pay: We offer a generous hourly rate, unaffected by the minimum wage scales for under-25s—because great work deserves great pay. We pay a minimum of £12p/h.
